Jane Dillon
Jane Dillon had a successful career in furniture design which she gave up in order to paint. Her paintings are a direct reaction to the frantic world we live in. Jane hopes her calm and subtle works will encourage the viewer to slow down and be in the moment. In her latest series of large paintings she uses fluorescent paint, creating meditations upon the changing light of the day. Depending upon the light, different areas of these paintings come forward or recede.
In 2009 Jane gave to the V&A Archive of Art and Design, the entire contents of her furniture design studio. See Studio Dillon Archives
